Our Mission

Q Ship’s Mission is to provide safe, reliable and efficient maritime solutions to our customers across the globe with utmost care for the environment.

In pursuing our vision and mission, we are guided by a clear, widely held set of core values to ensure the profitability and viability of Qatar Shipping Company. Prime amongst these is the highest standard of ethics in the conduct of all our business dealings and routine operations.

Q Ship is an international shipping company which owns and operates, wholly and partially, a young, mixed fleet of vessels in a number of trades which include Crude oil, Petroleum Products, Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Ammonia, Petrochemicals, Liquefied Natural Gas and Offshore support services. Besides local clients like Qatar Petroleum and its subsidiaries, Qatar Fertiliser Company, and Qatar Steel Company, Q Ship’s clients include all the major oil and gas companies and leading international trading companies. During the period 1994 to 2003, Q Ship also owned vessels and operated in the Dry Bulk segment and the company is poised to make a return to the Dry Bulk segment at an opportune time. Q Ship was awarded the contract for the transportation of about 6 million tonnes per annum of aggregate from the UAE to Qatar and this contract would commence in April 2010 and last five years. All the vessels currently owned and operated by Q Ship have been ordered by Q Ship as newbuildings, with the site supervision also done for most of them by the Qship site team. In addition to these newbuildings, the older tonnage acquired during the formative years of the company has been systematically phased out at an opportune time. New ventures as well as asset play have enabled us to add significant value to our shareholders.
